I just flashed the bios on an Asus P4PE BP and now that annoying voice
response on boot up is back. I disabled it when I built the computer but
now I can't remember how I did it. Can anyone help, it's driving me nuts.

BIOS > Advanced > I/O Device Config > Speech Post Reporter [Disabled]

You have to scroll down in one of the screens.
I think it's towards the bottom on my p4b533 and it's called "Speech Post
Reporter". Disable it.

Yeah, I don't run IDE drives. It sounds like it's bitching at me
every time it boots up, "No IDE Hard Drives Detected!!"

You'd think ASUS came up with a better sounding voice!
