I am trying to remove the multiple OS boot screen option
from my computer. I installed a new harddrive and Win Xp
Pro is the only OS this harddrive has ever had. However,
whenever I boot up it pauses on the Multiple OS screen
for 25 seconds, asking me which OS I wish to use. Either
Win XP pro or "Previous Operating System on C:" I am
unsure not only why this screen is here but how to remove
it. Does anyone have any ideas?

You will find it all here.

Hi, Larry.

Go to System Properties | Advanced | Startup and Recovery Settings. In the
top section, choose WinXP. Then reduce the minutes in the box under that to
5 (or 1?), from the default.

Or click the Edit button there and delete the "Previous..." line from
C:\boot.ini.

Or Run msconfig.exe, click the Boot.ini tab and click on Check All Boot
Paths; this should delete any invalid lines in boot.ini.
