Is it possible to turn my computer on and have it boot up into WinXP
under a default user? I ask this because I am the only one who uses
this computer and I'd like to be able to turn on my computer and go
make a sandwich or something and have the computer ready to go when I
get in front of it instead of having to log in and wait for it to
finish loading Windows. Kinda like my Win98 used to do...

You can go to Control Panel->User accounts->Advanced Tab
and Uncheck require users to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete.

First, make sure you have created a password for the account you want
to log on automatically. Then,
1) Click on "Start|Run" and enter "control userpasswords2"<Enter>
2) Click on the "Users" tab
3) Uncheck "Users must enter a username and password to use this
computer"
4) You will be asked for the username and password of the user you
want to log on automatically (the Administrator account will be
entered by default. If you do not want to log on as the Administrator
automatically, just clear that entry and enter the username and
password you want).
5) Click on "Ok"
6) Before you reboot, make DOUBLE SURE that you have entered the
correct username and password.
Reboot to test your work.
