I installed Roxio, and it changed the way my machine boots up. On boot now,
it askes me to click on my user name: "Bob" , and it goes through a bunch of
stuff before it boots. Is there a way to get rid of this so that I can boot
in a normal manner?
I just want to hit the blue circle on the machine and boot without any
gobbledegook.
Thank you
Bob K.

If you mean autologon...

1. Copy below and paste into Notepad.

----------copy-inside-only----------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"DefaultUserName"="{username}"
"AutoAdminLogon"="1"
"DefaultPassword"="{password}"

----------copy-inside-only----------

2. Replace {username} and {password}.

3. Save-as AutoLogon.reg (or any name +.reg)

4. Double-click or right-click and merge into the registry.

You have received an important update for XP. One the of .Net updates
have created a "hidden" user account (needed!!!!!) The user account
ASP.NET is required for a .Net version. Locate, download and install
the TweakUI Powertoy. Then, in TweakUI, look under Logon section and
uncheck all user accounts besides your main one (Bob.)
