when i restart windows will not open untill i hit F1 and then it will start.
It says that floppy is not found. I may have srewed up the boot sequence or
factory settings?

try to go into the cpu and look at the cable for the floppy drive and see if
it is on right

Do you have a floppy drive? If not, go into the BIOS (possibly F2, but
you'll need to look) and change the boot order to hard drive first, optical
drive second (or vice versa if you prefer) and floppy drive last.

If you do have a floppy drive, you should still change the boot order but
check the cable as the other poster suggested. Or disable it in the BIOS.
