Boot Problems

Hi all,
I have been trying to install the public beta of 5382 for the past 2 months
or so since the released it. I have tried just about everything I can think
of to install it. It will install just fine, unable to find some drivers,
but that is expected. So when it boots up it will boot up to a blank screen,
no BETA version on bottom right and screen, no bar going across at the bottom
of the screen (I call it the Cylon eye). I can do a warm boot and it will
boot into last known configuration (kinda defeats the purpose of installing
updates and activating it, when the only configuration that works is the
first one. I noticed that in the updates it won't install the microsoft
atheros driver for wireless cards. Sorry if this seems to ramble, kinda
tired today.
I have onboard Soundblaster 24-bit on my motherboard (disabled in BIOS).
My specs are in my sig.

Disable SLI in your BIOS and disable one of the GPUs. At the present time,
dual graphics cards in SLI mode are not supported. You *might* be able to
try using both after a successful install, but the drivers themselves are
still beta.

I would suggest just trying with the one graphics card for now until there
are better graphics drivers.

thanx for the advice, I pulled out one of the cards and the damn thing works
fine now. again thank you for the help
