Boot problem

Hi,
when i boot up my Windows XP first a mesage aperse with tis text:invalid
C:\BOOT.INI file .booting from C:/WINDOWS/ .
but after some secends windows work noramaly.
what is the problem?

It means that your boot.ini file, which is what Windows uses as its startup
guide, is possibly corrupt.

See http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm, under the heading
"Possible Fix by reconfiguring boot.ini using Recovery Console." It contains
the relevant repair instructions to get the boot.ini file back in proper
shape.

I forgot to mention: under that heading, it mentions in step #5 to try the
repair install. Do NOT attempt this until you've determined that the
"bootcfg" repair hasn't worked. If it didn't work, try Alex Nichol's
suggestion which is found on that web page in my previous message.
