My ACER travelmate 8200 will not complete boot process after removoing
several unwanted programmes. ( Mostly HP printers and ass, software) After a
screen message which was inly a second or so readable it mentioned fatal
error... etc etc. sign in... and then recomences boot cycle.
Via F8 I chose 'last known configuration that worked' but this has no effect.
Any clues?

Can you Boot into Safe Mode and Restore your Laptop?
We need the exact error message verbatim! Do you see Disbale Auto Restart on
Error while on the Boot up Options Try it and Capture the exact error message
and post it in your next message with some onfo about your Operating system
version+SP and if you have a recovery CD or a recovery partition.
HTH,

Nass,

Thx for the prompt reply. I'll take a 'rain check' as after the laptop had
been switched off for about 30mins it rebooted OK. ( processor 'boiled'?)
In the words of Arnie' I'll be back!'

Hi Reggie,
This indicate that the system get over heated, try to clean the dust in the
CPU compound carefully and see if that will help.

My friend nass: Are you telling the OP to pull his laptop APART?
It is a LAPTOP, not a Desktop.
If they see this; you won't be a MVP!
Bad, bad advice from YOU!
