Boot problem with wireless

If I first disable wireless adapter, I can boot up. As long as I'm not
connected to wireless network, I can reboot. But if I'm connected to
wireless network and reboot, boot hangs up while loading Personal Settings.

All suggestions much appreciated

Maybe it's searching for a network connection. Does it eventually
continue with the install?

Thanks. I had assumed it was hung because after 3-5 minutes it was still
frozen. But this time I just went out for awhile and returned and it worked.
So maybe there is some startup program or something that inordinately
searches for a long long time. But at least it doesn't hang....

Here's a version of the help steps I've seen before. I found it with a
Google Groups search:

"The following steps may help if you think it is network-related.

Control Panel/Internet Connections/LAN or High Speed Internet. R-click
"Local Area Connection." Choose Properties. R-click "TCP/IP." Choose
Properties.

If the radio button for "Obtain an IP address automatically" is already
chosen, choose the alternative option: "Use the following IP address."
Then type in 192.168.0.1. For the subnet address, use 255.255.255.0. If
another IP address is already indicated, leave it alone. Your problem
is somewhere else.

Tom"
