Every time my computer started loading windows at the the
windows xp logo screen, it restarted after about 30
seconds of loading. It just got stuck in a loop doing
this, and starting it again in safe mode does the same
thing, as well as last known good configuration. I tried
to repair the installation, but then while it was
installing, with 13 minutes to go it had an error pop up
which read: "CTEaxSpl Library not registered". I
tried a restart, but it just did it again. Does anyone
know what this is and what I can do about it? Thanks a
lot for your help.

ps. I can't ask customer support because I don't have my
Product ID number. Does anyone know if you can find that
without booting? Thanks for your help.

Oh one more thing, now I can't get out of this
installation process. When i restart it automatically
goes back into the previous installation, restarts it,
and then it has the same error again. Any help would be
much appreciated! thanks

When you don't attach to the original post no one knows what you are talking
about.

A search of CTEaxSpl in Google took me to
http://www.greatis.com/regrun3useless.htm#cteaxspl.exe

where they advise that cteaxspl.exe is the Creative Audigy
EAX splash screen. It shows video splash during startup and
is not required. However, I didn't find out anything about
why it's causing a problem for you.

This site might help you - unexpected re-starts information:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;320299&Product=winxp

If you have software from Creative Audigy you might
consider uninstalling it and then re-installing it once
your computer is running OK again.
