Boot Problem after Defrag

Doing the right thing doesn't always pay off it seems, at least not this
time. I did a defrag and haven't been able to boot my PC ever since. The
PC goes through the Bios and to the Windows XP boot screen. But before it
finishes, I can see a blue screen with white writing flash for a split
second, before the PC reboots itself. This blue screen seems to resemble
the system crash screen from Windows NT.
My question is, what can I do to fix this without having to reinstall
everyting? I tried safe-boot and repairing using the XP installation CD,
but no success. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

What would be the most help would be to tell us the error message displayed
on the blue screen, however since you cannot do this I will suggest that you
remove all non essential cards from your computer, everything but the
graphics card. It could be a hardware conflict (I would however say it is
hardware-driver), and if the computer boots then slowly add the cards until
you find the offending card. If it still does not work then try to also
remove the graphics card and put another one in.

I doubt that the windows XP defrag caused the problem though :)

Thanks for the advice, Matthew. Everything worked just fine before the
defrag, so maybe one of the drivers were corrupted during the defrag,
however unlikely. I will try your suggestion and remove all cards except
graphics.
