My computer had a virus a few days ago and I deleted some
files and some registry keys (According to a write-up just
thr virus created keys - I know, bad idea fooling with the
Registry). The file csrss.exe was listed in the virus
write-up and I found all instances of it and deleted them,
this may be the problem as I think I just had to get rid
of the one in the indicated folder. Since then, the OS
will not start. The splash screen starts but the computer
keeps rebooting, a continuous loop. I tried the repair
options, but no go. I don't have an emergency repair disk.
Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You can try to reinstall Windows, in the same system folder, if you had a CD with the same Service Pack level.
Or, you can install a fresh copy of Windows, in another system folder, and not format disk.
