I have upgrade to XP just a few days ago and wanted
change the way user log ion and off. I went to the user
screen and checked use login sceen and user fast user
switching. XP came back and told me to disable client
services for netware. I went to do this and disabled
some network property but I am not sure which. Now when
I boot with the network device plugged in I get a blue
screen with the error of:
Driver_unloaded_without_cancelling_pending_operation and
it shows that the driver is ma101rndxp.sys. I am able to
plug the network device in after the system boots and
everything works ok. What do I need to do the get the
system to boot again with the network device connected.

I have tried to go back to lask known good boot and it
still gives me the blue screen. I have deinstalled the
device and reinstalled and still get the blue screen. I
am not sure what to try next.

Thanks
Paul

It´s unfortunate you were unable to follow XP´s directions, because it is
now unclear in what state the system is. Since there seems to be a
networking problem I suggest reinstalling networking. Go to Control Panel /
Network Connections, and right-click your LAN connection. In the Properties
tab, verify that the following are listed and enabled:

- Client for Microsoft Networks
- File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
- Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

and possibly

- QoS scheduler (not essential)

Unless you have specific networking requirements, such as access to Netware
file and/or print servers this is all you need, so remove everything else.

Of course, you need to ensure your TCP/IP parameters are correctly set, but
that doesn´t seem to be the problem.
