i'm having trouble getting my Embedded image to boot and i'm pretty sure the
problem is in the boot path.
what values should i use for multi, disk and rdisk if i'm running Windows XP
on my first hard drive and want to boot Embedded from a second, external hard
drive

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Embedded"
/fastdetect

When you say external, do you mean connected to an IDE? Or is this a USB
hard drive?

that line seemed to work, and the windows embedded loading screen came up,
however after a couple seconds the computer crashed into a blue error screen

if it does make a difference i'm using a western digital usb hard drive

Unless you are using FP2007's new USB 2.0 boot feature or Dietmar's USB boot
solution, you will not be able to boot XPe from a USB device.
