I am a newbie in the newsgroup

I using windows 2000 Professional and athlon processor.

after I on my computer, the window logo will appear and suddenly will send
error message " inaccessible boot drive".

I tried to change the setting for me to re-boot using the CD-rom to re-load.
but found the cd rom is not listed (it is listed prior to this problem).

Previously, the computer will stop and send error message, will start to
dump and re-start automatically. then it will ok.

The computer was shut down properly on its last use and in good running
condition.

What and where it seems to be the problem. How to resolve the problem?

Will appreciate your help.

Your "right" newsgroup is not working?

Have you checked the cables from the motherboard to the hard drive and cd-rom?
Reseat them and give that a try.
