When turning on my computer, I am receiving the following
error: "Operating system not found on any devices. Press
any key to try again." Nothing was done to the PC, only
a restart. Not sure what is causing the error and if it
is recoverable.

Will the XP Setup disk help to get the PC started, or is
there such a thing as an XP boot disk similar to the
older versions of Windows that could help?

Hi,

This can be the case after a unclean shutdown ( for
example: power cable disconnected, crash, reset button
pressed ). The most obvious reason is that NTLDR is
missing ( a file needed to boot winxp ). Best bet is to
boot from CD ( start your pc with cd in cdrom drive, if
pc doesnt boot from cd then you need to enable this in
the bios, see mainboard book for info on this ) and then
do a repair of the windows xp instalation from the cd.
This does not erase your files / settings, but replaces
the important WINXP files. You do need to install
patches / service packs to windows xp again. But you can
acces all your files again which is in my opinion the
most important.

Email me for any questions!
Good luck,
