Hey everyone, I need to install win2k, but I don't have my floppy disk
any more. I was checking whether I could boot the disks from a USB unit,
but my mother board doesn't seem to allow that.
Do you guys have any hint?
Thanks

Don't you have the Windows 2000 CD? It is bootable, you wont need a
diskette drive unless you need to load Mass Storage Device drivers.

Marco,
What is it that you no longer have?

1) The floppy drive?

2) The floppy disks to put in the drive?

If the drive, can you temporarily connect a floppy drive to the system?
Will your MB allow you to boot from the CD? Most newer ones will. If
you can boot the CD, there is no need for a floppy drive unless you need
to load some special drivers.

If its the floppy disks, you can re-create them easily if you have a
working drive. Format 4 disks, go to the BOOTDISK directory on the CD
and run MAKEBT32.EXE. It will ask for the 4 floppy disks in turn.
Label them "W2K Install 1", "2", "3" and "4".

Marco is saying he only has a USB CD drive. I don't think you can do it,
Marco.
