boot disk

Hi, I`m wondering how to make a boot disk, start up disk,
from xp-pro.
Can someone please help.

Two things about XP, #1 if you download boot disks from
Microsoft it takes up to 6 disks to boot your computer.
#2 you can boot to your XP CD if you set the settings in
your BIOS. this is providing you want to format your
drive.
 
This willl just boot your computer into DOS. if your hard
drvies are formatted in NTFS u will not be able to access
them
 
True, but the op didn't say anything about accessing ntfs drives. The op
wanted a startup disk, so I assumed he wanted a boot disk to install xp.
Usually used when your computer will not boot to the cd drive(I might have
assumed wrong). This boot disk is used to install XP only, not for trouble
shooting. The reason it's one disk and not six is because it doesn't have
the recovery concole like the six ms disks.
