You can create a floppy disk that will let you boot into WindowsXP home,
Install your XP CD, while running Windows,
install a blank floppy in A: drive.
On the start - run line, type CMD.EXE and hit return,
then type CD\ to put you in the root directory.
Change to your CD drive and change to the I386 directory,
then copy NTDETECT.COM and NTLDR to A:
Type CD\ again to put you back in the root directory,
then type ATTRIB -S -H -R BOOT.INI
and Copy BOOT.INI to A: drive.
When you are finished copying the 3 files,
you will have a boot disk into WindowsXP.
Don't forget to change the attributes back on BOOT.INI using + instead of -
