Win XP Boot.ini Bak file left in C: drive after I upgraded to Windows Vista
Home Premium. Should I delete this file to perhaps heading off a problem in
the future?

Thanks,

It serves no purpose, if XP is not installed so go ahead and delete. Vista
doesn't use boot.ini
