I'm planning to get a new computer which will run Windows XP Media Edition.

In the past, when I've moved to a new operating system, I've bought the QUE
books for it.

Is there something better than the QUEs today?

The QUEs are about at my level of technical sophistication. I'm not a geek
but do have a technical background (chemistry) and have some understanding
of the basics of information technology.

Will appreciate your suggestions.

Phil

Thanks, Raoul!

....so this gives me a list of 126 books on the subject. Which 2-3 do you
recommend?

Anyone else want to weigh in?

Don't Spend money on the books. Stay with the on line help as well as the
help provided in the help section of the OS.

That's fine as long as you can "get on line". I had an experience with
a friend's computer where a solution in his book helped me get Windows
working again - well worth the price of the book.
