What experience level?
1. Newbie coder
2. Junior to Mid-level coder with ASP/VB experience
3. Experienced coder with no C#//.NET Experience
The Troelson book is good for the last two, but will be frustrating for a
newbie (and possibly the Junior coder). It is great for those moving from
any type of previous coding experience, however.
MSPress makes some of the best newbie books, esp. if you will take the time
to go through the exercises.
No matter what avenue, the virtual labs, webcasts and MSDN resources
Microsoft provides are a great source of information and practice.
