I want to be able to keep track of a small number of books and be
able to see when stock figures reach zero for any particular title(s).
Automatic referencing (when sold) to an invoice would be handy too.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a book inventory and/or book
invoicing program please ?

I know I could use a spreadsheet but I was hoping for something a
little more appropriate to such a task.

"Book" programs have been mentioned here before but some of them
are so complex that there are about 143 "fields" to fill in for each
book. I was hoping for something less complicated.

Regards, John.

It's "Liteware" -> you have to be an ABE bookseller to access the ISBN
lookup (that's the only limitation). ;)

Hi John,

a pretty complete (IMO) list of book freeware is here:

http://www.pricelessware.org/2004/programs/P_ORGANIZERS.php#1.10Organizer:Books

I suggest you try ABE's Homebase program or BookTrakker (the Liteware
version) - you don't *have* to fill in all the blanks. . .

http://www.booktrakker.com/

or. . . perhaps an allpurpose inventory/POS program - if all you want
to enter is the name of the book
