i have made numberous attempts to remove/rename/delete
the links folder in the favorites file, but it always
reappears. any suggestions? microsoft sucks--it never
lets you think/do things for yourself!!!

You cannot permanently remove the Links folder.
If you don't want to see it, then set the attributes to Hidden.
