I have around 80 slides and most of them are text. It is hard to remember the
place of slides. I have difficulty finding the proper slide for amendment.
Does ppt has a bookmark to mark the desired slides

Sure, put an object (text, box, whatever) on the slide and then create a
hyperlink to the slide you want it to jump to.

By book mark, I mean to be able to find the target slide very fast among 100
slides. What Myers mentioned is hyperlink to jump from one slide to another
one.
In word we can put book marks so we open the file by choosing that book mark
we can jump to target line just by a click without a need to scroll and
search. I am looking for a function similar to this in ppt.
what dslocum mentioned is sort of grouping slides according to their
chapters which is still far from what I am looking for.
Eveery day I add some slides (not necessarily to end of file). Next day I
have difficulty to find where was my last inserted slide.

Yes, you hyperlink the the desired slide. There is no scrolling or
searching involved. I am not certain what it is your looking to do here.
You can set PPT to start on any slide you like and I would build a "menu"
slide with the links as desired.

IIRC, in Word, you can (from any place in the doc, at any time) bring up a list
of bookmarks and jump to any of them.

I can see where this might be quite useful. PPT doesn't do anything like this,
though.

Dear Austin
Thanks for your reply. Could you please let me know how can I start ppt from
the desired slide. Also you mentioned about making "menu". Could you please
explain more about this issue. I don't think you are talking about the list
of slides appearing in left pane of ppt.
TIA

It doesn't look difficult to put bookmark still strange why MS has not done
that. BTW do you think it would be possible to do so by aid of a macro?

I suspect so; you could use VBA to "mark" a particular slide as being
"bookmarked" (by applying a tag for example).

More VBA could quickly check each slide for tags and populate a list box on a
form with the names or titles or other desired information about each slide
with a tag and take you TO that slide when you click it in the list box.
