Hi,

do you have any recommendations about literature about ADO.NET (1.1)

Thanks
Anthony

David Sceppa's ADO.NET COre Reference is the best 1.1 book.

Sahil Malik's the best ADO.NET 2.0 book.

Thanks for the recommendation Bill.

Anthony, why would you want to buy a 1.1 book in a 2.0 world? In my book,
whenever I have talked of something that is new to 2.0, I have given reasons
behind why it was added, so you get a clear picture of the exact stumbling
blocks you will run into with 1.1 - while learning 2.0.

But if you must get a 1.1 book, I'd go with Sceppa's.

This is not about trying to sell another copy :), but just trying to be
pragmatic about where you should be looking. IMO if you're gonna spend a
month absorbing a book - do it with 2.0? no?

My book "ADO.NET and ADO Examples and Best Practices...." is also a best
seller. It approaches the problem of converting from ADO classic which is
what you might be doing at this point... Books on ADO.NET 2.0 would
certainly be in order if you're just learning and have moved to the 2.0
Framework. My new book on ADO 2.0 will be out this summer. It's over 560
pages so far and we're about 65% done.
