Bold dates but no appointments

Please can someone tell me why some of dates in my Outlook 2000 calendar are
displayed in bold yet no appointments are listed, the day is completely empty.

The /cleanfreebusy switch seems to have resolved this. The dates which were
previously displaying in bold with no appointments on that day are now no
longer bold.
