In Access 97 you could cause the first block of text in a message box to be bold. With Access 2000 this was lost, though there's a trick you can use that will let you get it back; see http://www.mvps.org/access/bugs/bugs0035.htm If you want more control than that over the formatting of your messages, you'll have to use your own dialog form.
