Ok please help. Dunno what is happening. I have downloaded BOINC and joined the pc review crew, but every half hour AVAST goes mental on me and says virus detected. It shows a lil popp up and about the only thing I can catch is BOINC. I ran AVAST, Malwarebytes, Superanti. But hey nada, they don't pick up anything. What to do ? Windows XP SP3 btw
 
It has been a while since I played with anti-virus stuff but won't Avast allow you to mark up the Boinc connections as "allowable" ?
Alternatively you may have a corrupt download of Boinc and re-installing may clear things up.

Best of luck as it is for a worthwhile cause.

I spoke to soon I think. Needed to do a repair install and half way through the drive bit the dust. Busy pilfering another drive from another computer and then off to install W7
