Bogus program on c drive

Can any body tell me how to delete a program from my c
drive. Every time I right click and select delete it wont
delete the program. This program I am trying to delete
opens when I start my computer and ask me to buy this
program that is installed on my c drive, aslo if I dont
buy the program I will lock up crashed etc. Some how
this program is protected and wont let me delete it. Thx
 
if it is a 'program' it might be in add/remove programs.
that is where you want to remove it.
 
In addition to what Doug Knox told you, you might need Add-Aware and/or
Spybot, Search and Destroy (both free) to eliminate what sounds like
addware.

It always would help if you said the name of the program.

First eliminate any scumware.
