Bogus Emails

I am receiving 40, 50 or more Emails a day that I think are bogus. They are
two types, either teling me that there is an MS security upgrade or telling
me that the Email I have send could not find its destination. Because I was
getting so many returned Emails, I assumed that I had a virus that was
sending Emails for me. I run McAfee virus program and found no virus. I shut
down all three computer on my home network, but I continue to get the
Emails. When I turned on one of the computers I had lots of Emails again. It
didn't matter which computer I turnrd on first. Any idea how to stop this?

The e-mail you're receiving is being sent by this weeks mass mailing

Probably not. Swen.A scans newsgroups and sends itself to every email
address found there. You posted to _any_ newsgroup using a valid email
address, that address will be flooded.
If your AV software with up-to-date definition files (September 18th or
later) did not found Swen on your system you're safe - that is, except
that the email bombardment will continue until everyone deleted the
critter. Read: forever. :(
 
Yes, I recently got bombarded by Swen emails. What a pain... it's finally
tapered off after about a week now. So, I've changed my email address when
I post to newsgroups now, I added a few x's.
