When I review the video that I made using only photos
from my digital camera, my photos are very blurry. It is
even worse when I see it in full screen. When you click
on the photo to view it on the screen before dragging
it down to the timeline it is clear. Is there something
that I am doing wrong or do I have a setting incorrect??

Previewing pix in the collection before going to the timeline shows them at
higher resolution. Previewing the project when on the timeline shows the
movie clips at 320x240 pixels, often less than the pix or the finished
movie. Then the finished movie is full quality based on the file properties
you select.

The preview mode of the project is just for that purpose, so don't judge the
finished movie quality from it.

For this reason, snapshots of a clip for use as a still pix are best made
from the clip in the collection, not from the timeline.

Hello--I'm using Movie Maker for the first time and I'm having a serious "blurry" issue--were you able to find out any answers? Any help you could provide would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks!!

I suspect that this is caused by the fact that when we preview the timeline
it is done at a resolution of 320x240 for
various performance reasons. If you publish the timeline at a higher quality
setting for example using 720x480 (NTSC) or 720x576 then you'll get a higher
resolution then the preview but that's still substantially less than the
resolution of most digital cameras.

Depending upon what you want to do with your photos, you may also want to
check out PhotoStory. It will produce video from your photos with pans,
zooms etc.

Here's the link if you wish to check it out.
