Bluetooth Support Service won't start

I can't start this because it can't find the file. The file up to .exe is
where it should be.
I want to start the service because I think that it is behind a problem.
I run dual boot XP32 & XP64. I have MS bluetooth keyboard & mouse & the MS
transceiver which work on XP32 so the hardware is not faulty.
On XP64, only the keyboard works. There is a bluetooth icon in the tray at
start up but that disappears when I hover the mouse over it, it disappears.
There is no bluetooth option icon in control panel. When I run the mouse
discovery program, it can't find the transceiver. When I run services.msc &
try to start Bluetooth Support Service it won't start because it can't find
file svchost.exe -k bthsvcs. svchost.exe is in the location that the path
gives.
What can I do to fix this? Is there a registry entry I can change? I have
done a reinstall of both systems but that takes a long time, has had no
effect on the problem and I don't want to do it again.

Did you go into your 32-bit control panel?
