'Help! Bluetooth i wish to connect my phone to the computer to download data
from my mobile phone to the computer

I have installed the software and hardware and it appeared to install
properly but i still cannot access the software. Right clicking the system
tray bluetooth icon produces nothing (no response) and clicking on bluetooth
in the Start, All programs menu likewise produces nothing. So i cannot access
the software. In the device manager the hardware is not registering under
Ports&Lpt. These ports appear to be unavailable. The software and hardware
installs properly on my daughter's computer which is the same as mine. I had
it up and running recently however something appears to have happened since.
Can you help?

Gary, try reinstalling the hardware and software. If it's a PCI Bluetooth
Card remove it and reinstall it. Remove the software
from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel or from a Uninstaller on the
Start>All Programs Menu. If it's a USB Adaptor
then go back into Device Manager>USB Controllers>rt click each one and
choose Uninstall. Restart and let XP reinstall
them.
