Bluetooth pairing issues - no pin code provided in Bluetooth Setup

I am trying to set up a Bluetooth keyboard with my IBM laptop with Bluetooth.
I have a Bluetooth mouse working no problem but am unable to get any keyboard
to pair suceesfully. I have tried two different bluetooth keyboards. Here's
what happens:

Open Bluetooth Setup Wizard
Discover new devices
Keyboard appears
Click on it to pair
Bluetooth Pairing Prodcedure dialog comes up instructing me to enter the pin
code "below" to pair the computer with the keyboard. problem is, there is no
pin code listed. I have tried this with two different computers, same result.

Would appreciate any ideas.
 
You may have to "define" your PIN code. I needed to set up a PIN code with
a Bluetooth dongle and a Bluetooth cell phone before since none was provide
by default.
