Hi alls,

I'm trying to optimise an E8600 on Nvidia 790i mobo.

I'm using Occt3.1.0 to test stability.

Then, I offently get blue screens.
So, I'm reading them using bluescreenview.

I always read same things analysing error. Fault came from :
hal.dll+12ab3
ntoskernel.exe+18d7d3

Then, is there any manner to know more which part of hardware failed (so
what hardware crashed) ?

Thanks for any advice,

GB

HAL is your hardware access layer. Its the operating systems way of saying
that the hardware is broken. This error usually appears after installing /
changing hardware in a PC, so whatever you just replaced or did to the
processor (overclock?) should be reversed or fixed.

You said you are trying to 'optimise' the CPU - do you mean overclock? If
so, then I suspect you went a little too far - perhaps the RAM can't handle
the extra speed? Up your voltages a little, but keep an eye on
temperatures...
