HELP!!! I have just had a blue screen! the pc restarted
before i could read all the info but when it had
restarted it seemed that it had defaulted some desktop
settings, I have AVG and it is running now but hasn't
found anything. I have winpatrol 6.0 and this 'barked'
about a prog that was trying to start called "dumprep."
everything seems fine now but it got me scared!!! Can
someone give me some hints? Many thanks

You can change the automatic reboot on error so you can see the error
message. From the system control panel, select the advanced tab,
startup and recovery settings button. In the systems failure section,
uncheck Automatically restart, check Write an event to the system log.
Click OK.

Now, if the box Write and event to the system log was checked, you can
find the error in the system events in Event Viewer.
