Bluescreen after installing SP4

Hi,
I just installed Service Pack 4 on two Windows 2000 machines and received a
bluescreen from hidusb.sys on both of them (error code was 22). They have
ASUS Motherboards (I can look up the exact model number in case it matter)
and nothing special. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? What
*exactly* does hidusb.sys do?

Hi;

As you would guess, that file is related to the USB ports/devices on the
system. Technical name is "USB Miniport Driver for Input Devices"

First thing I'd try is to re-install the drivers for any USB devices you
have on those systems. You might also try replacing that file
(hidusb.sys) with a known-good copy from a working 2000 computer or the
CD.

You might also need to re-install any ASUS chipset drivers (4-n-1, etc.)
that pertain to that motherboard.
