Just put a new colour cart in my HP845c and there appears to be no blue ink
in it! I don't have a receipt for it (not even sure where I got it, but it
was only 3 weeks ago). Any ideas.

1) The 845c does *NOT* use blue ink - it's cyan, learn the difference.

2) When you say no ink, do you mean you cannot see any ink in it, or does
it just not print. Have you tried doing a couple of 'cleaning' cycles to get
the ink flowing?

Try printing a diagnostic page as shown at:

If the nozzle pattern is missing cyan completely then check the warranty
expiration date as shown at the following:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=bua02014
(assuming this is a genuine HP cartridge). If the cartridge is under warranty
then contact HP or a dealer for a replacement. If the cartridge is beyond its
two year warranty then purchase a new fresh cartridge. New cartridges have an
"install by" date on the package. I would look for a cartridge with at least
six months remaining before the "install by" date.
