Bingo. Yours is the explanation I've seen from Microsoft staff of this
phenomenon. I have never seen it myself, even though I do a lot of work via
Remote Desktop and terminal services. It may be because I've got the icon
hidden on most corporate XP desktops I look at. I haven't seen it happen on
my home XP Pro machine, nor on Windows 2000 servers.
