My PC which runs on Win2000 Pro is continually dumping
physical memory but when it was running on Windows 98, it
did not have any such problems. What could be the matter?
Is it that the memory is physically damaged or is it a
Win2000 issue?

Does it happen with specific apps?
Are all win2k drivers current? inc mb drivers
Any err msg, log file?

It's a Windows 2000 issue only by reason that it less tolerant of flaky
or marginal memory. Also Windows 2000 will use/access that memory
whereas Win 98 has a pretty small memory footprint and may not have even
accessed the damaged section.

You need to revert back to Windows 98. For you it is a better operating
system. When you get new hardware then you can use and NT based O/S, but for
now you're better off with Win98.
