help

My computer blanked out and went to a blue screen saying
dumping physical memory. When it begins to boot back up
it says 1962: operating system not found Press f1 to
repeat boot sequence. What should I do, I tried changing
the harddrive and booting from a CD but that does not work?

So even when you stick the 2000 CD in and made sure the
bios was set to boot first from the CD the computer does
not go to the setup screen? Is the hard drive still seen
in the BIOS? The 2000 CD is bootable and will allow you
to do a repair. If you can get to this, do the Fast
repair first and it will try to find errors and fix them
but make sure your drive itself is working. Good luck!

Any idea what the original blue screen was? Does the machine boot from
floppy or CD to any kind of prompt or does it die after POST?
