blue screen when shutdown

I am using Windows 2000 Pro, when I confirm to shutdown,or
reboot, it is never able to shutdown, and comes with blue
screen. I have to hold the power switch for 10 sec. to
shut it down. There is not error in the device manager.
It there any way to fix it?
 
Check the event viewer for errors in the system log.

Right click on my computer
Choose Manage|Event Viewer
