Please help .... I recently bought a new PC with Windows
XP Home installed. It ran perfectly until I set up an
ADSL connection using an SMC 7003USB v.2 ADSL modem -
then I started getting blue screen Stop messages at
startup. SMC advised downloading a patch, which I did.
This appeared to work for a time, but the messages
returned. PC also started getting Stop messages while I
was working, not just at startup. SMC advised
downloading SP2, which I did yesterday, claiming it would
solve the problem. Today at startup - blue screen, Stop
message 0x000 ... D1 "gaausb.sys". Nightmare. How do I
solve this once and for all?

Hi
