My Pc will not load windows, it stops at the blue screen with an
REGISTRY_ERROR
I have tried every mode on my PC it will not boot, I have tried booting the
recovery console from my windows CD and when it asks me to select which
installation I would like to repair (there is only 1) it again goes to the
blue screen, I have read all of the information on this site including this
site that I see alot on here by James Eshleman, I did find on this site abour
the service pack fixing this kind of error, there is just one little problem,
How do I download the service pack if I can't get windows to load I have 8
pages of info printed out about how to repair and everything but not a thing
that tells me how to actually get the service pack onto the system that won't
start.

Please if anyone can help me, if I have to completly restore windows and
lose everything on my harddrive, again, I am seriously going to cry

I am getting the same error. The technical information is:

STOP 0x00000051 (0x00000003, 0x00000003, 0x00000000 0xE1566000)

I looked this information up under the Microsoft Knowledge Base and only
found information for Windows 2000. I am running XP Home. I have a SP2 cd but
it is not bootable. What do I need to do?!!!

Do not jump to assumptions. There are variants of STOP 0x00000051 and Debs
may have a different message to yours.

Do not hijack a thread. Start a new thread (conversation ) for your own
problem.
This helps to avoid confusion.

You have a very difficult problem to resolve. Try working through this
complicated Knowledge Base Article, remembering it may not work. If it fails
I may be able to suggest some further things to try. If you get an
opportunity
to backup important data files to CD do it.
