I did a clean install(no upgrade) of XP on my HP
Pavillion 9720 ME machine. It ran for a few months and
now lock up and was recovered with XP disk. Then when it
goes into energy saving mode it "Blue screens". Says to
Disable BIOS caching and/or shadowing. Also says "Dumping
Physical Memory". How do I do this? I didn't do any BIOS
upgrading before I installed XP. Do I or did I need to do
that? Any advice/help is appreciated

You can view such options to disable bios caching etc in
bios settings. typically you press Delete or another
similar key on booting (there should be a message on the
screen) to access bios options.
