Can you post the spec of your partners PC please, specifically amount of RAM and speed, whether XP or Vista and what graphics card please. In the mean time, go to the site below, download "memtest86" make a CD then run it and it will tell you if the RAM is knackered or has problems. http://www.memtest.org/ Also try taking the RAM out and putting it in another slot.
