When I had recieved my Windows Vista Beta 2 software, I was thrilled. I
popped it in my PC, and the instillation process worked great. Everything was
fine until I booted Vista. About 2 minutes in to my awesome experience, a
blue screen popped up about how there was a major problem and my computer had
to restart to save a major malfunction. It talked about making sure you have
enough space on your hard drive and about updating your drivers. And it also
said something about BIOS, and I have no clue what that is. I really like
Vista, and I don't want my computer to be forever screwed because of my
incompetence. Please somebody help.

I don't know if this helps, but I have a NVIDIA 6800 GeForce graphics
processor and I have a HP Pavillion a6800n computer.

does the bluescreen error happen every time you boot?

also, give some hardware specifics, your cpu make/speed, ram, free hard
drive space, etc.

if your pc does not boot, try booting from the dvd and using the startup
repair tool that's available.

BIOS is basically what makes the computer work when you press the power
button on. It is a program that tells your hardware what to do. You might
need to get an updated version from HP. Good luck!
