Ok, I have a feeling I know what is wrong, but I don't
know EXACTLY how to fix it.

Target machine is a Sun V60x. Dual Xeon Processors.

XPE didn't have the drivers for the scsi stuff for this
machine, so I went ahead and added them, and ran tap.
After inporting the output from TAP it successfully saw,
and loaded the drivers I had loaded. The component is:

Adaptec AIC-7902 - Ultra320

Why would I be getting a 7B error? Is it because it is not
seeing the disk? Why would that be? Any ideas on where I
can start?

Thanks!

Just for kicks I added the "Disk Drive" component
(GenDisk) to my image, and that did not help any. Is there
a SCSI disk component I need to add?

Thanks!

Paul

Ok, just got a new idea. Turns out that 1 7902 actually
appears as 2 different controllers. When I look in
a "real" version of XP's device manager, it shows that the
7902 driver is loaded twice also. To make matters worse,
the controller that has all the disk is controller B (2).
I imagine that the driver is probably only being loaded
for controller A (1)? This is turning into a real pain in
the butt. XP runs perfectly on this configuration, XPE
just isn't working correctly....

Thanks...

For a matter of simplicity:
1. Switch off HyperThreading.
2. Leave only one XEON (physically remove the second one).
3. Select the proper "Disk" component - there are 3 components with name
"Disk", and only middle one is good. Check in the properties - first and
third should be specific for ALPS and Sony AFAIK...

You can also try to insert the SCSI controller to a simplier board (like
single P4) and first make tests there.

I got similar problems with the dual XEON machine...

Thanks, I will give that a try...
