Hi,
I just did another fresh installation of OS, but at the time I am
installing the OS, it turns into blue screen again..... I doubt it's the
hardware problem..... But I am pretty sure there's no fault on harddisk,
since I can install the OS into this harddisk by using the other computer.
The RAM should have no problem as well, since it works fine in other
computer, and it's brand new...
The only hardware that I got on my motherboard is the video card, it's a
very old one.... will that cause the blue screen too? Or will the
motherboard itself has problem? What's the blue screen mean..... ?

The error message i got was:
Stop: 0X0000007E (0X0000005, 0X8055C007, 0Xf9e4863C, 0XF9E4833C)

Thx.

How can you be so certain?

But I am pretty sure there's no fault on

Again, that's meaningless. Suggest you visit the manufacturer's site and
download their diagnostic tools.

Another meaningless statement. Are you sure the RAM is 100% compatible with
the motherboard? Are all modules identical - and I mean totally identical
almost down to batch number?

Unless both computers are using identical motherboards, then the fact it
"works fine in the other computer" is of no regard.

I suggest you download Memtest (www.memtest86.com), create the diagnostic
disk and leave it running overnight - the error you're receiving could very
well be memory related.

I also suggest you review the following article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;330182, and follow
the troubleshooting steps, contained within, *TO THE LETTER*. Don't suppose
anything, just do the troubleshooting.

Hi,
I guess I found out the problem is my video card.....
I've just purchased a new video card, and I successfully installed a new
OS, but then there's frequent lock up during windows startup.... sometimes
it locks up at the very front page --> "ASUS P4S800 page" Why is that?? I've
tested out every hardware, (hard disk, ram, video card, cd-rom, except cpu
and motherboard), and they works fine on the other computer, but not this
one, what could be the cause of this? Thx.

Adrian
